Around the world, different nations have different definitions for the term health. But in general, the base of thinking is to achieve balance between body and mind, because only if this relationship is balanced, we can say that a person is healthy.

According to the old Chinese philosophy, the various types of energy in different foods are responsible for a large range of thoughts and feelings that manage our body. The base of macrobiotics and vegetarianism is set in this philosophy, arguing that mild energy plant provides gentle thoughts and feelings and prevent aggression. That, ultimately, leads to peace and prosperity in and around us.
All this indicates to what extent is the food important for our body and mind.
In the modern world, it is not enough for a man to eat “healthy” food for maintaining a healthy body and mind. It could be said that nothing is anymore healthy. The main problem we face today is the contamination of soil, water and air with pesticides, antibiotics, hormones, radioactivity, and mycotoxins. These toxins are secreted by fungi (such as mold or mildew) in the tissues of the host (plant). Many of the mycotoxins are among the most toxic substances. Alpha-toxin, for example. An animal eat the contaminated plant, and the final link in the food chain is man in whose body the mycotoxin leads to the braking of immunity. This leads to many types of allergies, some cancers, autoimmune diseases, and many diseases of unknown cause, such as multiple sclerosis.
However, the awareness of the importance of quality foods that are entered into the human body has rapidly increased in recent decades. Thus, a movement has been created, and later the production of organically grown foods. The essence is that these products do not contain pesticides, hormones, antibiotics, heavy metals and, most importantly, the mycotoxins. In addition, organic products do not contain synthetic additives and products based on genetic modification. Organically produced food has greater biological value, and thus provide consistent energy for our body.
